The capacity building for university professors of different academic disciplines and from different Bolivian universities had the objective to discuss the possibilities of introducing the topic of renewable energies into their study plans and to get to know the Renewable Energy Technology Demonstrative Centre of the Bolivian Catholic University as a tool for renewable energy education. The Demonstrative Centre has been implemented in the frame of Pilot Module 2 “Technology and Knowledge Transfer for Rural Energisation with Renewable Energies” within the JELARE project. It includes all common renewable energy system for electrification and heat generation in Bolivia’s rural areas such as a Solar Home System, a solar dryer, an efficient cooking stove, a photovoltaic system for water pumping, a solar thermal system, a solar refrigeration system, a wind generator and two biodigestors. There is also an anemometer and a radiometer so that the students can carry out measurements and experiments.
