Seminar “Renewable Energies in the Bolivian Energy Mix” and Renewable Energy Fair at the Bolivian Catholic University, 15th and 16th October 2009

A two-day seminar about the role of renewable energies in the Bolivian energy mix was held at the Bolivian Catholic University from 15th to 16th of October, 2009. Presentations of the Vice Minister of Electricity and Alternative Energies and other renewable energy experts were given and a discussion panel about the perspectives of the Bolivian energy mix and the role of actors from the renewable energy sector was held. Over 200 participants assisted the conference. Together with the seminar, a Renewable Energy Fair was organised. RE companies and NGOs as well as research institutes working in the field of renewable energies presented their work. The RE Fair was a great opportunity for networking between the stakeholders of the sector and for the students to get in contact with RE organisations.
